We went to the seaside for Mothers’ Day, because it was basically Wild and Drum’s day as well as Mummy’s. And anyway, what Mummy really really wanted was to run around on the beach dressed like a pirate and have an ice cream.

Leigh on Sea has a jolly good car boot sale – I got a fire engine (it had a broken ladder but I felt sorry for it cos it could still rescue people perfectly well).

Daddy got Mummy some new boots for Mothers’ Day, which was good cos we did a lot of climbing. From a boot shop, not a car boot.
