Everyone was moaning on about how late the Royal baby is. But most Mummies and Daddies know first babies are quite often late. I was eleven days late myself and my Mum ate a lot of pineapple and got very grumpy with people calling up all the time.

The other thing most Mummies and Daddies know already is how long it takes for us babies to actually arrive from when we start making a fuss about it. When I started getting ready to meet the world, my Dad got all excited and put his best pants on to go to hospital. I think he wanted to feel a bit special too.

Daddy said he was glad he was wearing his best pants when I was born but hadn’t expected to be wearing them for 36 hours!
